The municipality of Morrill administers a General Assistance Program for the support of the poor. Pursuant to Title 22 MRSA-4304, the officers have adopted an Ordinance establishing that program. A copy of that ordinance is available at the town office. Also available for inspection is a copy of the General Assistance Statute.

Persons who wish to apply for General Assistance may do so at the town office between 8:00 AM and 12:00 noon, Monday-Thursday.

In the event of an EMERGENCY, occurring after normal business hours, you may contact the General Assistance Administrator, Randall Place at 207-460-6851.

The Administrator must provide you with a written decision within 24 hours of receiving a completed application. If you disagree with a decision or have questions, you may contact the Department of Human Services @ 1-800-442-6003 Mon-Fri from 8:00 to 5:00 PM.
